Soup at Six–When Johnny Comes Marching Home

October 6 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

| $15
William McKinley’s presidential campaign was organized from his house in Canton, Ohio. He delivered 350 speeches from his front porch to 750,000 listeners. This snare drum was used during the 1896 Front Porch Campaign. It was made by S. Brainard Sons, Importers and Jobbers of Musical Merchandise and Band Instruments located on Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio.

This exciting evening begins with one of our signature soups, fresh baked bread, drinks and dessert. Then join Curator Kim Kenney as she explores letters written from soldiers who were stationed overseas to their loved ones back home in Stark County. Meanwhile, Chris Kenney the museum’s Director of Education, will perform music from the different wars.

The program begins at 6:00 PM. Cost is $15.  Pre-paid reservations are required.  Please call 330-455-7043.
