President William McKinley and First Lady Ida McKinley invite children to participate in an Easter Egg Roll reminiscent of those that took place on the White House lawn during the McKinley administration (1897 – 1901). Children accompanied by adults, should bring two hardboiled eggs to the event. Children, in categories ages 2-4, 5-7, and 8-10 will be awarded prizes for first, second, and third place. Special stories will be read by both President and Mrs. McKinley.
Children may also enter an egg decorating contest. The McKinley Presidential Library & Museum and The First Ladies National Historic Site are partnering for this historic first time event to be held on the grounds of the McKinley Presidential Library & Museum.
