Creek LEAP 2023

Date

Sep 16, 2023
Expired!

Time

8:30 am - 12:00 pm

Join us on September 16th as we co-host the annual Creek LEAP. This year the creek cleanup will be held through the Canton City Parks area of the Nimishillen Creek, this includes Stadium Park, Monument Park, and Water works Park areas. Families are encouraged to join in. Check in begins at 8:30 at the Museum and cleanup runs from 9-12. Lunch will be provided. Pre-registration is greatly encouraged.

As always Creek LEAP is held in conjunction with International Coastal Cleanup Day. International Coastal Cleanup Day (ICCD) is one of the world’s largest annual preservation and protection events and volunteer efforts for our ocean, waves and beaches. Surfrider Foundation chapters engage and motivate their communities to take action at local beach cleanups.

The annual Creek LEAP is organized by the Nimishillen Creek Watershed Partners, a volunteer group of representatives from local government, agencies, businesses, agriculture, and citizens who help facilitate the restoration and protection of the Nimishillen creek and its resources.
