Science Saturday: James Webb Space Telescope Pre-Launch Party

November 13 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

We are celebrating the launch of the James Webb Space Telescope, the most powerful infrared telescope ever launched! Learn what it would be like to see through infrared, ultraviolet or even different visible light colors. Make a simple rocket and explore types of galaxies. Planetarium shows highlighting the James Webb Space Telescope will be at 10:30 am and 12:00 pm. Cosmic Kids planetarium shows will be at 11:00 and 11:30 am and Universe at Large will be at 1:00 and 2:00 pm. Join us for an out-of-this-world Science Saturday!

Free ticket with museum admission. Must have separate planetarium ticket to attend presentation.

Limited seating. Please arrive at the planetarium entrance 5 minutes prior to the showing. 

 

 


The following safety guidelines will be in place:

 

  • Guests & presenter will be required to wear a mask.
  • Guests will be seated 6 feet apart from other groups.
  • Surfaces will be cleaned after each program.
  • We will have a morning & afternoon rotation of seating arrangements, allowing us to clean every seat section after both the morning & afternoon shows.
  • The planetarium is well ventilated.
