Woman’s History Month Lecture Series. Lecture 1–March 2, 2020—2:00 PM—Women’s Suffrage: A Celebration of Persistence
In this special suffrage centennial year, join Executive Director Kim Kenney for a look back at how women won the vote. Learn about the first Women’s Rights Convention in Seneca Falls, NY in 1848, how the abolition movement sparked the fight for suffrage, and how the 19th Amendment came to be. A fascinating story that every woman should know!
Join us for a series of women’s history programs every Monday during the month of March! Each program will include a lecture and light refreshments. Cost per person is $10. If you sign up for all four programs, the cost is just $30 – you will get one free! All programs are at 2:00 PM.
