Help us raise $2000 to restore our beehive!
In August, we were shocked to learn that all of our bees had suddenly died overnight. We had a healthy hive, with more activity than we have seen in years, so we had no idea what had happened.
An investigation revealed that they were poisoned. Unfortunately, the hive cannot be reused, so we need to purchase another one.
We hope you will support this project, because the observation hive is one of the most popular exhibits in Discover World. We want to thank the Stark County Beekeepers Association for their ongoing support. Our new hive will have extra security measures to hopefully prevent this from ever happening again.
What is #GivingTuesday?
Giving Tuesday is a day that encourages people to give back in whatever ways they can. It presents nonprofit organizations with the chance to raise even more money than they would on an average day of giving, which is why many organizations create special campaigns to participate in this day of giving.
