Typewriter

A Blickensderfer model 7 portable type writer in wooden case. The Blickensderfer Typewriter Company of Stamford, Connecticut started to manufacture typewriters in the early 1890s. The model 7 was available from 1897 to 1916 and was the first portable typewriter with a full keyboard. It included a wrap around space bar, paper scale, black knobs on both sides of the platen, adjustable right and left margin stops, a release tab and an oak base and cover which the typewriter was mounted on. This typewriter is on display in the Lawyer’s Office in the Street of Shops.
