The Life of Death: The History and Culture of Death and Dying

Kimberly Kenney

Join Executive Director Kim Kenney as she explores how the meaning of death and death rituals have changed over time.  Cultures around the world handle death very differently, from the sentimental to the macabre.  This new program will trace the history of sky burial, cremation, green burial, embalming, superstitions regarding the deceased, and more.  We will also look at the professionalization of the funeral industry and how it has shaped our view of what it means to die. The fee is $50 per program.

Please call Executive Director Kimberly Kenney at 330-455-7043 or email her to make a reservation.
