Hotel Onesto, Francis A. Onesto’s Rise to the Top of Canton, Ohio!
Hotel Onesto would become the premier hotel in Canton, Ohio in the thirties, forties, and early fifties. One man would be the driving force, Francis A. Onesto, “Frank.” He would come onto the Canton scene in the early 20th century looking for work. Frank would see a sign in the window of the Delmont Restaurant, “Porter Wanted.” Frank would become that porter, eventually own the restaurant, and go on to build one the most elegant hotels in the area.
