Brick Flicks Lego Building Contest

Get your building skills ready! Starting January 1, 2023 we will be holding a Lego Building Contest in conjunction with the upcoming Keller Gallery exhibition Brick Flicks. Questions or have trouble submitting? Contact [email protected]

Age Groups

  • K – 2 (Lego Duplo’s Only) The theme for K-2 entries is ANIMALS.
  • 3-5 (Elementary School) The theme is AMERICAN HISTORY.
  • 6-8 (Middle School) The theme is AMERICAN HISTORY.
  • 9-12 (High School) The theme is AMERICAN HISTORY.

Contest Rules

  • The contest runs from January 1 – May 1, 2023.
  • No purchased kits will be permitted.  Your entry must be a design of your own creation.
  • Themes:  The theme for K-2 entries is ANIMALS.  For all other age groups, the theme is AMERICAN HISTORY.
  • Winners will be displayed in cases for the duration of the Brick Flicks exhibition from July 1 – September 30, 2023.  Your creation must be smaller than 30” x 30” and less than 24” high in order to fit inside our cases.
  • One winner from each age group will be selected, with additional winners chosen from any age group until space is met.  Winners will also receive free passes to attend the Brick Flicks preview event and a free one-year membership to the Museum. 
  • Photo submissions are required.

ABOUT THE MUSEUM

The McKinley Presidential Library & Museum is located at 800 McKinley Monument Dr NW in Canton. The Keller Gallery is the Museum’s temporary exhibition space and features a variety of topics each year. The Museum also includes the McKinley National Memorial, McKinley Gallery, Street of Shops, The Stark County Story, Discover World, Ramsayer Research Library, and the Hoover-Price Planetarium. The Museum is open Tuesday – Saturday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The Museum is closed Sunday and Monday.
