“A Labor of Love” How Jessie June Burroway Came into the World…

Canton, Ohio 1910 a family boarded a train bound for California and its healing weather.  Father Lawrence, Mother Jessie, (pregnant with her 3d child) Brother Arthur, Brother Paul.  The trip would be interrupted by Jessie June’s premature birth of a baby girl somewhere in  Idaho. The family would return to Canton with their precious mother’s body. Jessie June  Burroway, not expected to survive, was left in Canton by her father in order to find work in  California. The story of the Burroways and baby Jessie June is told through a wonderful  accounting in a baby book by her step-mother, Helen (Bachtel) Burroway. Join Mark as he conveys the incredible true story of Dr. Burroway and her career, the many people who nursed the baby to health, and the adventures of a hair pin. You will regain your faith in love, tears, and the human spirit to triumph in the face of tragedy, and trial. The fee for this program is $50.
