McKinley Museum Awarded Visit Canton Destination Enhancement Grant For Enhancing Guest Experience and Interactive Displays

McKinley Presidential Library &  Museum was awarded a Visit Canton Destination Enhancement Grant for enhancing guest experience and interactive displays at the McKinley Museum.

Visit Canton, the Stark County Convention & Visitors’ Bureau (CVB), has awarded $388,611 in Destination Enhancement Grants, and we are honored to be one of the recipients. The CVB made grant dollars available to fund projects in Stark County that are in concert with Visit Canton’s mission to elevate Stark County’s destination appeal.  Grantees were encouraged to partner in strategic ways between multiple organizations, businesses, and communities.  Applicants could request up to $50,000, with committed matching funds required, to support projects that commence in 2024. The complete Destination Enhancement Grant criteria and application process are available to view here.

With the funds received from the Destination Enhancement Grant awards, the Museum will be installing a new PixelPeg interactive display in Discover World that will be inclusive to all guests.  A PixelPeg is like an oversized Lite Brite.  The grant will also be used for new exterior signage that will elevate the guest experience for visitors to the Museum and the McKinley National Memorial.
