For the first time ever, the McKinley Presidential Library & Museum is offering a Soup at Six Season Pass for its entire lineup for 2024. Pass holders will save $5 per program. The cost is $140 for seven Soup at Six programs. The deadline for purchasing your Season Pass is February 8. Refunds will not be issues if pass holders cannot attend an individual Soup. Passes can be purchased by calling 330-455-7043.

Lawyer, Governor, Friend: William McKinley’s Stop in Stark County that Lasted Forever… 1891 – 1896
Join Archivist Mark Holland for the long-awaited third installment of his “Hometown Series” on William McKinley. He will illustrate with sight and sound a part of McKinley’s life in Canton before he places himself on the national scene as President of the United States. You will be transported back to Canton in the 1890s, when our city became a refuge from the hustle and bustle of the McKinleys’ life in Columbus when he was Governor.

Women at Work
Executive Director Kim Kenney will present this brand-new program to celebrate Women’s History Month! Over the past 200 years, women have worked in a variety of professions, ranging from engraving pocketwatches at Dueber-Hampden to building components for the war effort in our community’s factories in the 1940s — and everything in between! This program will explore the jobs and careers that women have held, including profiles of pioneering women in our community.

Steamy Women
Join us as Discover World Associate Ashlea Zantene explores the roles and impact of women on the early American Railroad when the Iron Horse ruled the world of transportation. We will explore the dawn of steam locomotives from the perspective of women, their impact on the railroad industry during both World Wars, and stories from women across the country influenced by the railroad as we explore this bygone era.

McKinley’s New Creases
Presented in collaboration with the Massillon Museum, this program will explore the social, cultural, and political attitudes towards the adoption of the men’s trousers crease in the late 19th century. In particular, Brian Centrone will discuss how President McKinley’s adoption of the style shifted fashion allegiance from the Prince of Wales to the US President, signaling the rise of America as the new global super power.

Protecting the Past
Protecting cultural treasures during wartime is complicated. The rules of engagement often prohibit the military from responding to threats in close proximity to historic cultural sites. Learn more about the bravery of curators, the destruction of antiquities, and the importance of historical memory in this brand new program presented by Executive Director Kim Kenney and 20-year Air Force veteran Karen Everman.

Secret Societies
Join Science Director Lynette Reiner as she examines Ancient Secret Societies such as the Illuminati, Freemasons, Knights Templar, and more. These societies were the incubators of democracy, modern science, and ecumenical religion. They elected their own leaders and drew up constitutions to govern their operations. Still today, archaeologists continue to learn more about the functionality of these societies.
