McKinley Presidential Library & Museum Announces Summer Planetarium Show Schedule

Daily planetarium shows will be offered in the Hoover-Price Planetarium at the McKinley Presidential Library & Museum from May 25 through August 31 this summer. Planetarium shows are free with paid admission to the Museum.

“Cosmic Kids” will be presented daily at 11:00 AM & 11:30 AM. This 15-minute show includes the constellations, planets, light show, and music. It is designed for ages 3 and up.

“Universe at Large” will be presented at 1:00 PM & 2:00 PM. This 30-minute show includes monthly highlights, latest news, and a night sky tour. This show is designed for ages 7 and up.

Planetarium staff will also conduct Astro Afternoons workshops every Thursday from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM from June 13 through August 8. This weekly event will feature hands-on astronomy activities for the whole family. Participants will also learn how to read a star map to help navigate the night sky of summer. Astro Afternoons are also free with paid admission to the Museum.

 

ABOUT THE MUSEUM

The McKinley Presidential Library & Museum is located at 800 McKinley Monument Dr NW in Canton. The Keller Gallery is the Museum’s temporary exhibition space and features a variety of topics each year. The Museum also includes the McKinley National Memorial, McKinley Gallery, Street of Shops, The Stark County Story, Discover World, Ramsayer Research Library, and the Hoover-Price Planetarium. The Museum is open Tuesday – Saturday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The Museum is closed Sunday and Monday.
