Description

Presented in collaboration with the Massillon Museum, this program will explore the social, cultural, and political attitudes towards the adoption of the men’s trousers crease in the late 19th century.  In particular, Brian Centrone will discuss how President McKinley’s adoption of the style shifted fashion allegiance from the Prince of Wales to the US President, signaling the rise of America as the new global super power.
