McKinley Museum to host 2nd Annual Pet Appreciation Day & McKinley Day

On Saturday, January 28, 2023 the McKinley Museum will host the second annual Pet Appreciation Day as well as McKinley Day. Each year the McKinley Presidential Library & Museum proudly celebrates the anniversary of the President’s birth on the last Saturday of January, a tradition that has been observed for over a century. The wreath laying ceremony will take place at 12:00 PM outdoors, weather permitting. McKinley Day activities will be back again this year, including Civil War reenactors, special shows in Discover World, and focus tours in the McKinley Gallery.

From 10 AM – 3 PM, the museum will have Pet Appreciation Day activities. Adopt a plush pet, make crafts, participate in story time, see a planetarium show and more! There will also be a coffee tasting with local roasters, Cherry Blend Coffee. The museum is encouraging visitors to donate pet supplies for partnering organizations during the month of January. Donate January 3-27 and receive $1.00 off admission price (per household). Donate items on the day of the event and receive $2.00 off admission price (per household).
