The museum is temporarily closed through Oct. 4 for roof repairs. We will tentatively reopen on Oct. 5.

The Honeybees are Back!

We are beyond excited to let all of you know that our honeybees have returned. We are so appreciative of the help we have received from the community for Giving Tuesday. Your donations allowed us to continue our conservation efforts and educational outreach for the endangered honeybee.  We worked with our friends at the Stark County Beekeeper’s Association to ensure a new hive fit well in the existing space and that there is a producing queen in the hive. You may notice that there is a brood. We have already noticed hatched bees. There will be different things to look for in our hive. The brood can be made up of drones or workers. You will also be able to spot the start of honey production. We are currently working on new signage for our honeybee area to help visitors learn more about the internal workings of a honeybee hive.

The McKinley Presidential Library & Museum is located at 800 McKinley Monument Dr NW in Canton. The Keller Gallery is the Museum’s temporary exhibition space and features a variety of topics each year. The Museum also includes the McKinley National Memorial, McKinley Gallery, Street of Shops, The Stark County Story, Discover World, Ramsayer Research Library, and the Hoover-Price Planetarium. The Museum is open Tuesday – Saturday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The Museum is closed Sunday and Monday.
