We are beyond excited to let all of you know that our honeybees have returned. We are so appreciative of the help we have received from the community for Giving Tuesday. Your donations allowed us to continue our conservation efforts and educational outreach for the endangered honeybee. We worked with our friends at the Stark County Beekeeper’s Association to ensure a new hive fit well in the existing space and that there is a producing queen in the hive. You may notice that there is a brood. We have already noticed hatched bees. There will be different things to look for in our hive. The brood can be made up of drones or workers. You will also be able to spot the start of honey production. We are currently working on new signage for our honeybee area to help visitors learn more about the internal workings of a honeybee hive.
